Rediscovering your Personal Style

There comes a point where getting dressed just doesn't feel as exciting as it used to. Maybe you're reaching for the same outfits over and over again, maybe shopping has become more overwhelming than fun, or maybe you've looked in the mirror and thought, "This just doesn't feel like me anymore." If you're approaching your 30’s, you're definitely not alone. It's such a transformative decade, and as we grow and change, it makes complete sense that our personal style changes too. I had my 29th birthday earlier this month and in the days surrounding it I reflected a lot on how far my personal style has come in the last 10 years. I’ve never felt more in touch with my personal taste and my body, and colour has truly revolutionised the way I choose to dress.

It got me thinking about how your 30s are one of the best times to rediscover your style. As I discovered, by this point you probably know yourself so much better than you did ten years ago. You're less interested in wearing something just because it's trending and more interested in wearing things that genuinely feel like you. The problem is that our wardrobes don't always keep up with us. They become a mix of old versions of ourselves, impulse purchases, and clothes we've held onto because we feel like we should wear them, even if we never actually do.

One of the biggest game changers when it comes to finding your style again is colour analysis. It sounds so simple, but knowing which colours naturally suit you completely changes the way you see your wardrobe. Instead of trying to make every trend work, you start choosing colours that make you look healthier, brighter and more like yourself. Shopping becomes easier because you're no longer second-guessing every purchase, and getting dressed takes a fraction of the time because everything starts working together.

What I love most about colour analysis is that it isn't about changing who you are. It's about bringing out the version of you that was already there. So many people tell me they finally feel authentic after discovering their colour season because they stop trying to wear colours that look amazing on someone else and start embracing the ones that make them shine. It's such a confidence boost, and it often inspires people to rethink their whole wardrobe in the best possible way.

Your personal style isn't supposed to stay the same forever. It should evolve as you do. Your 30s are the perfect time to let go of clothes that no longer represent you and start building a wardrobe that feels exciting again. When you combine colour analysis with a better understanding of your personal style, you stop chasing trends and start dressing in a way that feels effortless, authentic and completely your own. Honestly, there's nothing better than opening your wardrobe and feeling like every piece hanging there belongs to the person you are today.
