The Intro…

Colours and Costumes. Maisie Eli. Analysis and Stylist. Creative Business Owner. Under 30.

I’m Maisie, the founder of Colours & Costumes — a colour analysis, styling and visual branding studio for people who want to look like the best version of themselves, without looking like everyone else.

With a background in film and theatre costume, I’m fascinated by the way colour, clothes and image can change how we feel, how we’re perceived and how we show up in the world.

Whether you’re figuring out your personal style, building your visual brand, preparing for your next big opportunity or simply want to know what actually looks good on you, I’m here to help you find it.

No boring rules. No trying to turn you into someone else. Just a more confident, creative and very you approach to style.

Chapter 1: Colour Analysis

Ever wondered why some colours make you look amazing, while others somehow make you look tired, washed out or just… wrong?

I have worked with the 16, 22 and now 34 sub seasons in my time as a colour analyst.

The 34-season colour analysis system goes beyond the traditional four seasons to create a much more personalised colour palette. By looking at the undertone, depth and contrast of your natural colouring, we can discover the shades that make your skin glow, your eyes pop and your whole look come together.

You’ll leave knowing your best colours for clothes, makeup, jewellery and hair, making shopping and getting dressed easier — and hopefully a lot more fun.

No strict rules or boring beige wardrobes. Just a better understanding of the colours that make you look and feel incredible.

Available in person at my London studio, virtually, and at creative events across East London.

Chapter 2: Personal Style

Personal Style Analysis. Fashion. Style. Trends. Wardrobe.

What if getting dressed could feel a little more like creating a character — except the character is you?

At Colours & Costumes, I use my background in film and theatre costume to make personal styling more creative, personal and a lot more fun. I’ve developed my own Character Styles system to help you explore the aesthetics, colours, shapes and details that feel most like you.

Whether you’re a creative finding your personal look, an actor developing your image, or simply someone who feels like their wardrobe doesn’t quite match the person they are, we’ll work out what makes you tick — and turn that into a style that feels effortless, exciting and authentic.

Forget dressing for the latest aesthetic or squeezing yourself into a style category. Your style is your story. Let’s make it a good one.

Chapter 3:

Visual Branding

Visual Branding and Personal Styling for creatives. Actors, singers, influencers. Visual marketing.

When you are the brand, your image becomes part of your business.

I help actors, writers, photographers, designers and other creatives create a recognisable visual identity that makes them memorable. Together, we’ll develop your signature colours, style, wardrobe and overall aesthetic so that your image feels consistent across your website, social media, headshots, events and everyday work life.

Think of it as branding, but for you — creating a look that communicates who you are, what you do and what makes you different.

Because you’re not just building a career. You’re building a brand.

A system founded by Colours and Costumes specifically for those in the creative industries.
