Colour Analysis Event at Curzon Cinema

Bringing Pop-Up Colour Analysis to Curzon Cinema Aldgate for The Devil Wears Prada Opening Weekend

Over the first May Bank Holiday weekend, I had the pleasure of hosting a Colour Analysis pop-up event at Curzon Cinema Aldgate as part of the opening celebrations for The Devil Wears Prada 2. As a personal stylist, colour analyst, and Film Studies graduate, it was the perfect blend of my two greatest passions: fashion and film.

I've always been fascinated by the relationship between personal style and visual storytelling. In both film and television, colour plays a powerful role in shaping character, mood, and audience perception. Costume design and wardrobe styling are essential tools for bringing stories to life, yet opportunities to celebrate the fashion industry on screen are surprisingly rare. That's why this fashion-focused cinema event felt so special.

The pop-up colour analysis experience was designed to give cinema-goers an interactive and memorable addition to their day. Throughout the event, I carried out dozens of express colour analysis consultations, helping guests discover the colours that naturally enhance their features and boost their confidence. Watching people light up as they found their seasonal colour palette never gets old.

One of the highlights of the day was meeting so many groups of friends who had come to see the film together. There was a real buzz of excitement as guests compared their results, discussed their best colours, and explored the world of personal styling in a fun and accessible way. It was a brilliant example of how colour analysis can bring people together, creating an engaging and interactive event experience that sparks conversation long after the day is over.

Events like this remind me why colour analysis works so well as part of brand activations, customer engagement events, shopping centre experiences, cinema launches, corporate wellbeing initiatives, and experiential marketing campaigns. It offers something genuinely personal while creating a memorable moment that people love to share with friends and family.

I am incredibly grateful to the Curzon team for inviting me to be part of their opening weekend celebrations and for trusting me to deliver a unique styling experience for their customers. It was a joyful day filled with fashion, film, confidence-building, and plenty of colour discoveries.

If this event proved anything, it's that people are endlessly curious about personal style—and there are few things more satisfying than helping someone discover the colours that make them shine.
